Project Controls

Hamlin uses a number of scheduling tools on projects including Microsoft Project, and we work with our clients to clearly and accurately define task duration, manpower requirements, and critical path activities.
Our belief is that the tracking of craft productivity is vital to our success on a project, be it lump sum or time and material. We track our man-hours by cost codes, associated with certain tasks, as a means to verify we are within the estimated hours for each code, that we are on within budget, and meeting or exceeding project expectations.
Our project manager’s early involvement, in the submittal process, ensures timely approval, which is one of our key components to a successful start of a project. In addition we perform value engineering and constructability studies, and aggressive procurement of materials and equipment driven by one or a combination of three factors: cost, efficiency, and estimated delivery dates to further ensure project critical paths and finish dates are complete on or ahead of schedule.
